Bowser Bash 2011!

Today I attended the 2nd annual Bowser Bash!


what it is, is a 3 hour event held at a park just for us dogs!





ive never been to anything like it, so i didnt know what to expect. and as usual, i was my timid self walking around the park with my tail in between my legs.


i saw a few interesting things. like these two dogs who had crazy colored fur!



and FREE kittens!


then i got to watch a bunch of bigger dogs do an obstacle course.


no thanks...i think i'll just sit here in the shade and watch!

and the highlight of my day...the dog park! ive never been to a dog park before. i was doing okay until my people let me off the leash...and i was free....free with a bunch of crazy dogs running around. i did meet several dogs though. most just said a brief "hello".


and i even met a fellow rat terrier like me! except this one isnt a toy like me. and he kept doing the butt-sniff.


and on my way out, i saw a Remington look-alike!


and look what i got to take home! treats!

Back (Once Again)

I have been M.I.A. once again! Not that long ago, I read a post from one of my poochie pals saying that his person went to the hospital and my cat sisters and I have been keeping her in our thoughts and prayers. Well, just a few days after that, one of my people had to go to the hopsickle!

But things are great now. We've been taking things easy lately, like no walks and the usual. I have to suffer as well jk hehe. But things are much better now, and I'll be able to share my not-so-exciting adventures once again =P

But in the meantime, I've been doing a lot of this:

When You're Gone...

well, today my people thought it was a clever idea to leave the house TWICE today, therefore, leaving me behind. I dont like being in my room when it isnt bed time, so i decided to entertain myself.

This is the result. Chewed up paper! I consider it a work of art.

but when i heard the words "bad boy", i realized that my people and i, are not on the same page.

but to be fair, they make messes too. like today, when THE GIRL scattered recipe cards all over the carpet...of MY room!

not fair.

4th of July (even though its like the 6th now or somethin')

so, monday, we celebrated American Independence Day.

I've been hearing from Wise Cat that its a pretty rough day for us animals. Birds are being forced out of their homes, dogs are begging their people to let them stay inside, and cats are just down right annoyed by all the BOOM BSSSSSH! noises being heard across town. So ive been anticipating this day for a few days now.

and this is how it went...

Wanna watch fireworks, person? *shakes head in unison*

i dont know what to expect, but im pretty excited. i got my snacks ready!

*waiting....waiting...waiting...*

BOOM! The trees were in the way, but it was worth it.

I hope everyone had a great one! My people were anticipating whether the fireworks would bother me or not. the 2 dogs they had before me were terrified so they assumed i'd be the same but i passed the firework test! I sat there and enjoyed the show. I am fearless! Nothing scares lil ol' me! Well, except cats when theyre angry.

P.S. keeping Oskar's Momma Person in my thoughts. Get Well soon! <3

Porch Sessions

I've been a member of this family for almost 5 months now, so im slowly gaining more freedom. At first i wasnt allowed to walk the house without a leash (cuz i used to piddly diddly wherever i please...especially the carpet). But now, 5 months later, my people have gotten used to me and i have gotten used to the rules around the house. Sure, i'd sneak a lil mess-around from time to time, but overall, im an angel.

so with that being said...i have the freedom to roam around the entire house during the day! see that? no more baby-gate in front of my room! well, until night time comes. good enough, though.

ive also been hanging out in the front yard a lot lately. for some reason the weather is cooler and breezier there. i still have some shelter dog issues, so being in the front yard exposes me to the strange things i come across. Like humans doing the weird things they do.


once i graduate from the porch level, maybe i can go to the pet store more often. i kinda cause a scene everytime i bark at the people and dogs there. its probably because im the ONLY dog that barks there. i mean no harm though. barking is just what i do. just like humans talk on their little phones.


the treats are worth it though. oh the excitement in my buggy eyes!
