No ER Vets?!

Why aren't there any emergency pet hospitals in my area?!! (do you like my shocked look?)

Anywagz, yesterday I gave my people quite a scare when they found me lying underneath a chair motionless. I didn't come when called, and I refused treats. I wasn't able to walk, and my entire lower body was shaking. They were willing to take me to an emergency pet hospital but to our surprise, there isn't any in our area?! We live in a California city where there seems to be everything! What about those pets who suddenly get very ill? This kind of scares me. On top of that, it was a Saturday night. Vets are usually closed on Sunday, so I was doomed.

Luckily, as if by magic, I made a miraculous recovery. All it took was the sound of MY BOY coming home and I was back on my feet. My people still don't know exactly what was wrong with me, but noticed that I was slightly limping on both of my back legs. I am a clumsy fool. I can't say what happened to me because I forgot myself, but I'm glad that I don't have to go to the hospital.

Socializing. Well, sort of.

 
I have some good news...THERE'S A DOG PARK COMING TO TOWN!!! Well, I'm not all that excited, but my people are. They want me to socialize with other dogs and they also want something "interesting" to put in my blog. This won't be taking place until the summer though. Will it make me friendly? We'll soon find out!

Speaking of friendly...William and I are getting along a lot better. I keep trying to be scary, but he sure isn't buying it. He even tried to kiss me! Maybe he thinks I'm a girl? If so, he's not the first to make that mistake. Whiskers said it's because I'm a pretty boy. I'm not pretty! But I'm PRETTY sure that William is enjoying my treats that my people have been giving him. 

I also have a weird concern. Sometimes I have these "attacks" where I start hacking/coughing. It doesn't happen all of the time, mostly when the weather changes. I also hiccup sometimes after I drink water. Does anybody else have this problem?  Other than that, I'm still my crazy, mischievous self!

Singing with William

We've been having some nasty weather lately but today I was lucky enough to be able to go on my walk and visit William. People in the neighborhood (including my own people) have been trying to catch him with no luck. They even let them go in his backyard. He walks up to them, then suddenly runs away. He barks and growls when people get too close. He sure is a slick one! Well at least I know the dog catchers might have a hard time trying to get him if they ever come around. Which I hope not!

We didn't stay long because our singing out a little out of hand and we didn't want to make the neighbors angry. I had a lot of fun though!

and when I got home, I found these two love birds. The first thought that popped into my head was "lunch!" it's not every day I see such a loving couple, so I spared them their lives.

Just wanted to wish all you lovely poops a Happy Easter! My people were trying to get a cute Easter pic of me, but I am just so uncooperative! hehe.

and a quick update on the puppy orphan, I shall call him "William". William is still in the abandoned house. We visit him every day and bring him food and water. He is very fearful and runs away whenever someone goes near him. My people are trying their hardest to get him but he keeps going in the abandoned backyard through the crack of the abandoned gate. Too many "abandoned"! I'm just surprised that he is still there. 

As much as I enjoy being a brat, I do hope that my people can get him somehow before it's too late. Before he gets caught by the evil dog catchers or before he gets too weak and, you know. *shudders*. *paws crossed*.
